Sherwyn Benjamin

Rev. Sherwyn Benjamin comes to Christ UMC in his ninth year of pastoral
ministry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of the
District of Columbia and Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary.

He is a visionary and is enthusiastic about the Good News of God’s saving grace.
He is a proud product of public school education in Washington, D.C., his home
town by way of native Guyana, South America, where he is a native.

He believes he is nothing without the greatest blessing of his life and God’s greatest
gift to him, his lovely wife, Melanie, to whom he has been married for over
twenty-five years and they have been blessed with three sons William,
Sherwyn, and Demetrius.
